Blancpain Luxury Watches

Blancpain Watches – Redefining the Watch Industry

Blancpain was founded by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain. It holds the title of officially being one of the oldest watch brands in the world and masters in creating the finest watches in the world. Blancpain is currently working towards the renewal of mechanical watchmaking and passing on its exceptional expertise from one generation to the other, by constantly investing in research, human resources, and productions.

Blancpain is distinguished by its ability to develop extraordinary movements as they have invented countless complications, remaining ever-faithful to their tradition of innovation. Over the past decade, they have developed no less than 35 new calibers. Blancpain has managed to preserve its heritage of precision and elegance while displaying a unique line of watches. Their range encompasses the legendary Fifty Fathoms diver’s watch, sportive L-evolution line, along with the classic Villeret collection, the high complication from Le Brassus collection, and then some women models.

Blancpain 50 Fathoms

The first Blancpain Fifty Fathoms was invented in 1953. It was created by Captain Robert Maloubier and Lieutenant Claude Riffaud. They collaborated with the CEO of Blancpain, Jean-Jacques Fiechter, and created the ultimate dive watch – The Fifty Fathoms. It was the first watch to have a one-way rotating bezel. It measured to be 43mm with 13.4mm thickness, operated automatically to reduce the need to make the crown work and was water-resistant (up to 300 ft.)

During their 60th anniversary celebration of the original 50 Fathoms, in 2013 the modern but vintage-inspired Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe was introduced. It consisted of a 43mm stainless steel case and had the automatic caliber 1315. This watch was selected by the United States Navy and worn by Jacques Cousteau in his award-winning film.

The recent version of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe is almost the same as the 2013 version except that it has a diameter of 38mm and is 10.77mm thick (as opposed to the 13.4mm thickness of the 43mm version). The additional faceted lugs are definitely an eye-catching detail. The watch has two versions: one comes with a black dial and bezel, and the other one with an "Abyss Blue" dial and bezel, the latter being a limited edition. The blue version is certainly more vibrant, and the black version has a lot of desirable qualities.

Sportive L-evolution Line

The L-Evolution is a series by Blancpain that is associated with the Super Trofeo racing series, and with Lamborghini, the luxurious Italian sports car that is widely recognized across the world.

The L-evolution Chronograph Flyback à Rattrapante Grande Date is specifically designed by keeping the classic Lamborghini in mind. The style of this watch is loaded with carbon fiber accents. The dial, case back, and bezel and even the straps have carbon inserted in them. The red aluminum case is incredibly designed and fits the wrist beautifully. The dial is shaped like a Lamborghini shield. This dial displays oversized numbers at 12 and 9 to enhance visibility. It also features an oversized date at the six o'clock position. This timepiece is well constructed and offers an applause-worthy performance.

The Classic Villeret Collection

The new Blancpain Villeret Collection debuted at the 2010 Basel Fair. It not only respects its heritage but also takes care of the hard-fought distinction of being a classic. The watches reflect upon the authentic values of traditional watchmaking. The watches in this collection feature round cases, Roman numerals, moderate size dials, double stepped rounded bezels and thin profiles.

The Villeret line highlights a complete calendar moon phase watch. The most popular model of this collection is 6654-1127-55b. It is in a stainless steel case with a white dial and a black alligator leather strap. The case has a thickness of 10.65mm, with the watch measuring up to 40mm, which is an adjustable size. The large numerical are written as Roman figures, and there is a date display at the top as well. It has specific design maneuvers that indicate that the watch is perfectly symmetrical, giving it a sophisticated and posh look.

Women Models

From 1930 onward, Blancpain created ladies watches and presented the first self-winding wristwatch for women. They have created some of the finest watches that consist of miniaturizing movements that equip feminine models with horological complications previously reserved for men. The women collection presents hand-finished and decorated self-winding movements that are a perfect blend of horological complexity and grace.

The most popular model of the women's collection is 3300Z-3544-55B-ULTRAPLATE. The watch is ultra-slim, and the round case is made of 18ct white gold with the bezel set with 2 rows of diamonds. The case thickness is 9.50mm with a 35.00 diameter. It is also water-resistant with a sapphire back. The folding clasp is also quite sophisticated.

Blancpain watches might be pricey, but they are totally worth the cost. Their watches make a statement as they stand out from the others!
