Zenith Captain Watches
The simplest expression of Zenith watchmaking philosophy, the Zenith Captain is a watch whose very name calls up romantic images. It evokes travel, the high seas, yet equally so the amazing fortunes made trading in far flung outposts. The rank of captain was, according to history, kept aside for those individuals who commanded a royal ship. The Captain is a family that symbolizes the utmost expression of Zenith’s watchmaking past.
Zenith Captain Watches for Sale
The Captain is a family that symbolises the utmost expression of Zenith’s watchmaking past. It holds within it an expertise that, like navigation at sea, is handed down from one generation to the next inside the Le Locle Manufacture.
The fresh collection is made better with three models that each have new complications: Power reserve, Moonphase and Second time zone. These three new iterations are inspired by the Captain line created in 1952, a new collection of Zenith automatic watches. The 2011 family holds true to the course of the first models. All the ability of watchmaking– technique, chronometric performance, and aesthetics – is put into these three pieces that make obvious nods to historic watches, with dauphine hands, faceted with rhodium-plating and long markers that are hand-set.
The case is blown up to a modern size of 40 mm. The creation of this collection has been led by technical and chronometric ability – exactly as it was 50 years ago. With Elite calibers, the items of the new range benefit from an additional 50 years of watchmaking nouse. The manufactured models, decorated with Côtes de Genève and circular-graining are observable in the sapphire case back.
If we can leave the oceans for a second to see navigation of the skies. Watches boasting the GMT function are the direct inspiration of those that managed to dominate the skies. In 1955, Zenith got a multi-time-zone timepiece intended for air pilots; this model was informed by Zenith's aerial navigation pieces that had been integrated into the dashboards of cockpits since 1920. The Captain Dual Time model has a GMT hand with an alternating design, with a blue pointer that makes sure there is total readability.
This hand is set with a push-piece at 10 o'clock. This feature makes it easy to adjust the second time zone with an easy gesture, without the possibility of deregulation of the time on the watch. The Captain Dual Time comes in two versions with a silver or black “Clou de Paris” guilloché dial, in a steel case, with a metal bracelet or alligator skin strap.
Intended for men with classy taste, all of the three Captains offer an additional smart function. The Captain line has a stream-lined design and a solid look; it boasts a truly masculine style and takes its zone in Zenith's realms of “Classical” watches. A piece for the adventurer, a true captain's piece.
