Quartz Watches

What is a quartz watch movement and is it the one for you? A quartz watch movement needs only an occasional replacement battery to keep it going accurately. The batter sends power via a small quartz crystal to keep it running. A quartz watch can usually be found for a cheaper price and they're incredibly reliable and quartz watches are conveninent to have and use. Unlike other watch movements, quartz watches gain or lose about 20 seconds a year. If you're into low maintenance watches, a quartz watch movement might be right for you. Other than changing the battery annually, there isn't much you have to mantain to keep it in it's tip top shape. An easy way to tell if it’s a quartz movement watch is by listening to the way it “ticks.”
