Omega Luxury Watches

Originating from Switzerland, Omega watches have been widely popular across the world for a very long time. Omega watches were founded back in 1848, but it was not until 1903 that it went by the name Omega. Omega was going by the name of La Generale Watch Co instead. In 1918, the American Army decided that Omega watches would be the official timekeeper for their combat units, just like Britain’s Royal Flying Corps chose them the year before. And ever since 1932, Omega watches have been the official timekeeping device of the Olympic games as well. Omega watches parent company is the widely famous Swatch Group.

Founder Louis Brandt’s sons created an in-house manufacturing and production system that made parts interchangeable and that alone changed the watch game. Louis’ sons passed in 1093 and the company was left with four young individuals. The oldest individual at the time, Paul-Emile Brandt was not even 24 years old yet. But nonetheless, Omega watches grew and only gained more popularity. Some of Omega’s most popular watch models include the Speedmaster, Seamaster and Constellation. These models have been more popular because of where they have been featured and recognized from. One specific color that has been working for the watch company is black. So much so that they even have a Seamaster Planet Ocean “Deep Black” Collection to showcase it. So if you’ve been on the hunt for something specific like an Omega black watch - they’ve got you covered.

Back during the recession of 1975, there was talks of Seiko buying Omega watches, but that not never went through. Years later, the company regained its status thanks to advertisement and featuring watches in movies that really reached the general population. The James Bond film franchise has had a close relationship with the Omega family as many of their watches have been featured in their films. The Omega Seamaster models gained popularity when it was featured in Casino Royale back in 2006. A big fan of fashion and luxury, the James Bond films got to show the world how luxurious and reliable a Omega watch can really be.

While the Omega watches are also known for being in the James Bond franchise, there are actually excellent options when it comes to Omega ladies watches too. The Omega Constellation is a crowd favorite for Omega watches in the women category. Debuted in 1982, the Constellation Manhattan won the hearts of many with its simplicity, yet eye catching design and details.

Omega Watch Ambassadors

Before the James Bond franchise helped Omega become who they are now, another famous interaction made Omega watches what they are today. The first watch on the Moon was actually an Omega watch. It was the Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronograph to be exact. That specific model was worn by Buzz Aldrin during the Apollo 11 mission. It’s said that Buzz Aldrin’s watch was lost as he mentioned in his book “Return to Earth.” But Neil Armstrong’s Speedmaster is currently in display in Washington, D.C. at the National Air and Space Museum. How cool is it that a luxury watch is actually in a real air and space museum? Not many watch companies can say that they were a part of history like that. Outside of the James Bond franchise, Omega watches has had some major legends who have supported them. Actor George Clooney might be one of the biggest Omega watch ambassadors. Other celebrities have been seen wearing an Omega watch, including actress Nicole Kidman, actor Eddie Redmayne, international supermodel Cindy Crawford and Olympic champion swimmer Michael Phelps.

If you’re purchasing an Omega online, make sure you are purchasing from an Omega authorized dealer or a similar Omega dealers. The last thing you would want is to have gone through the whole searching process only to come up short with a fake. When it comes to trying to find the cheapest Omega watch, some of the more affordable watch options would include the Omega Constellation Co-Axial, Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch and Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial. And when you’re ready to look into some of those Omega watches, we hope that has exactly what you’re looking for.
