Learn More About The Longines Evidenza Collection
The 1920s was an era of serious change across the globe, beginning with important progress in plenty of ways, as well as an amazing amount of free rein for creatives, and of course stylists too. Fashion and design threw off rigid, centuries-old rules while personal accessories of every description grew increasingly handy, compact and stylish. The ladies’ and men’s watches of the Longines evidenza collection draw their inspiration from that broad shift in habits and styles. While a 1925 model inspired the specific design of Longines evidenza, its tonneau shape goes back to a Longines model dating from 1911.
Symbolising elegance, the Longines Evidenza range draws on the amazing style that came out in the 1920s. Showing amazing performance regardless of the occasion, this Evidenza watch is fuelled by a precise Calibre L595/592 automatic movement and offers a 40-hour power reserve. Water resistant up to 30 metres, this strong 30.5mm stainless steel case is home to a beautiful Silver-tone dial, sorted with blue gorgeous Arabic numerals, blue steel hands and a date display feature around 6 o’clock. With Sapphire crystal glass for beauty and a cool Alligator leather strap, this elegant watch will complement any style from lunch to dinner.
Longines Around the World
The 2019 Archery World Cup began in Medellin, Columbia, at the end of April, before visiting Shanghai, China and Antalya, Turkey in May, Berlin, Germany in June, and culminating this weekend in an exciting final in Moscow, Russia. The title in total was claimed by Sarah Lopez and Mike Schloesser, while Chae Young Kang and Brady Ellison (USA) were the winners in the recurve category.
To round off the final, the Swiss watch brand Longines, the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the Archery World Cup since 2008, presented the Longines Prize for Precision to the compound archers who scored the most “10s” throughout the whole season: Alexis Ruiz and Braden Gellenthien, both from the USA. Both recipients received a Longines watch, a trophy and a cheque.
Longines plays a key role in timing the competitors and presenting the results for all the contests in the Archery World Cup and the Archery World Championships. This sport embodies the values upheld by the brand since its inception, namely precision, tradition and elegance. In order to be successful, archers must have total control over their bow and their arrows, which is achieved through concentration, balance and precision.
The Official Watch of the 2019 Archery World Cup Final is a model from the Conquest “Very High Precision” collection, which represents a new achievement in the field of quartz, combining great precision, high technicality and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance.
Displaying a silver dial, this model is equipped with an exclusive movement renowned for its high degree of precision for an analog watch and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field. These attractive features are likely responsible for its exceptional movement status, to which a very long battery life and a perpetual calendar must be added.
